Golf Course Overview
Darenth Valley Golf Club (now also known as The Darenth) opened in 1973 and lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Darenth Valley between Otford and Eynsford. The 18-hole parkland course plays gently rolling ground on free-draining chalk, measuring around 6,159 yards with a par of 72. The chalk base means the layout rarely needs temporary tees or greens, making it one of the more reliable winter rounds in north Kent.
Following a 2016 change of ownership, the course, clubhouse, car park and practice facilities have all been substantially upgraded. Members and visitors enjoy a pro shop, putting green, practice area, teaching bays, restaurant, bar and a function suite that hosts weddings and corporate events. Shoreham railway station is within walking distance of the clubhouse, and the club is reached easily from the M25 (junction 4 or 5) via the A225.
