Golf Course Overview
Dalmunzie Golf Club is a 9-hole highland course set within the spectacular grounds of the Dalmunzie Castle Hotel at Spittal of Glenshee, Perthshire. Originally laid out by Alister MacKenzie in 1922, the course is one of the highest in Britain at over 1,200 feet above sea level and runs through a glen surrounded by Munros. At around 2,300 yards to a par of 33 over 9 holes, it is short but exceptionally scenic, with mountain streams, heather and natural contours providing the hazards.
The Dalmunzie Castle Hotel offers accommodation, a restaurant and a bar, with golf forming part of a wider sporting estate that includes fishing, walking and outdoor pursuits. Glenshee ski centre is close by. Dalmunzie sits just off the A93 between Blairgowrie and Braemar, around 30 miles north of Perth and reached via one of the highest A-roads in Britain.
