Golf Course Overview
Dalmally Golf Club is a nine-hole parkland course laid out on the site of the village's Old Saw Mill beside the River Orchy, with the present course opening in the late 1980s. Golf in the area has a longer history, with a previous Loch Awe and Dalmally Golf Club having operated from the early 20th century on Castles Farm. The course measures approximately 4,750 yards to a par of 64 and is framed by the mountains Ben Cruachan and Ben Lui. Water hazards feature strongly: the signature 160-yard par-three third, known as "Orchy Splash", carries the corner of the river with Ben Cruachan as its backdrop, while the testing par-4 eighth doglegs right with a burn in driving range and trees guarding the right-hand side.
The course is relatively flat and easy walking, making it a gentle stroll between shots despite the dramatic surrounds. Facilities include a small clubhouse with basic refreshments, club hire and a putting green. Dalmally sits in the Strath of Orchy in Argyll, close to Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe and the Cruachan Visitor Centre, and lies on the long-distance coast-to-coast walk from Oban to St Andrews. Access is straightforward from the A85.

Golf Empire Verdict
Dalmally
"Dalmally is a picturesque nine-hole course in a lovely setting just off the A85 Perth to Oban road."
The mountainous backdrop to some of the holes is simply stunning on this short (4,516 yards) parkland course where it is a joy to watch your ball clearly rise and then descend against the spectacular scenery.
