Golf Course Overview

Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club sits within a 1,000-acre country estate near Kirknewton on the western edge of Edinburgh, and boasts two 18-hole parkland courses both laid out by James Braid. The Championship East Course stretches to approximately 7,400 yards from the tournament tees and is characterised by wide fairways, large greens and substantial elevation change, with two signature holes — the 13th and 14th — added during a 2005 renovation that thread through tight woodland. The shorter West Course offers a more forgiving and accuracy-driven test, with narrower fairways, smaller greens and a demanding finish over the Gogar Burn.

Over the years the East Course has hosted major championships including the Solheim Cup, the Scottish PGA Championship and the Scottish Seniors Open. Supporting facilities include a 12-bay floodlit driving range, a nine-hole putting green, a nine-hole pitch-and-putt, a fully stocked pro shop, and a PGA golf academy. The resort hotel offers 215 bedrooms, two restaurants including the signature Pentland, multiple bars, a leisure club with indoor pool, spa, tennis courts and extensive function and wedding suites. Dalmahoy is around four miles from Edinburgh Airport and seven from the city centre.
