Golf Course Overview
Cushendall Golf Club was founded in 1937 and affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1938, nestling at the foot of Glenballyeamon in the Glens of Antrim. The picturesque nine-hole course measures around 4,797 yards with a par of 66 and combines parkland and links characteristics; it is bounded by the village of Cushendall and the waters of Red Bay. The course's defining feature is the meandering River Dall, which creates out of bounds at seven of the nine holes as it winds its way to the legendary Sea of Moyle. The 9th, where the river protects the green, is the locals' favourite and arguably the most demanding hole. The club takes its "four swans" crest from the legend of the Children of Lir.
The clubhouse, located on Cushendall beach, enjoys spectacular views across the Sea of Moyle to the Mull of Kintyre on the Scottish coast just 20 miles away. Rosie's Restaurant on site has a strong reputation locally for its food and views. Visitors are welcome and the club hosts a full programme of competitions and social events. Cushendall is on the A2 Causeway Coastal Route, easily reached from Ballymena via the Glens.
