Golf Course Overview
Crowlands Heath Golf Club, run as Crowlands Golf Centre, is a 9-hole pay-and-play facility on Wood Lane in Dagenham, on the boundary between Greater London and Essex. Built to USGA championship standards in a links-style layout, the course is played from four sets of tees per hole to give variety equivalent to an 18-hole round, with several thousand yards of fairway and well-defined greens that the operators consider among the finest in Essex. The compact site combines tight tee shots, water features and accessible distances to suit a wide range of standards.
The complex is best known for its unusual 30-bay covered, floodlit "aqua" driving range, where players hit out across a large lake to grass targets and floating greens up to 175 yards away. Crowlands Heath also offers PGA tuition, a clubhouse, and was awarded Sport England funding for the construction of additional practice greens. The site is reached off the A1112 between Romford and Dagenham, with easy access from the A12 and A13.
