Golf Course Overview

Crieff Golf Club was established in 1891 and is consistently rated as one of Scotland's top inland courses, sitting in the heart of golfing Perthshire on gently sloping parkland that was once the grounds of Ferntower House. The club offers 27 holes across two courses: the Ferntower, an 18-hole championship layout of 6,493 yards (par 71, slope 133) with design influences from Old Tom Morris and James Braid (1924), rising through beautiful countryside with spectacular views over Strathearn; and the 9-hole Dornock (par 32/64, 2,321 yards for 9 holes), also with James Braid input, a shorter but still testing course opened in 1980. The Ferntower has been voted among the top UK courses by Golf World readers.

The spacious clubhouse offers excellent bar and catering through the Greenhouse Bar and Grill and a function room, while a well-stocked pro shop carries leading brands and offers club, buggy and trolley hire. Practice facilities include short and long-game areas and a large putting green. Visitors are welcomed every day by advance booking, with flexible corporate packages and bronze/silver/golf group packages from breakfast through 18 holes and lunch. Located on Perth Road on the eastern side of Crieff (walking distance from the Crieff Hydro Hotel), the club is easily reached from the A85 and around 20 minutes from Gleneagles.
