Golf Course Overview

Creigiau Golf Club is a beautifully manicured, easy-walking parkland course on the north-westerly edge of the semi-rural village of Creigiau, around seven miles west of Cardiff. The 18-hole layout, opened in 1921, plays to approximately 6,063 yards to a par of 70 with tight tree-lined fairways that reward accurate tee shots without demanding a physical ordeal from the walker. Highlights include the par-3 2nd, the long par-4 9th as stroke index 1, and a run of testing medium-length par 4s on the back nine.

The course has hosted numerous county and national championships: Creigiau were crowned Mail National Golf Club Champions in 1998 and Annodata National Champions in 2018 (beating Wentworth in the final), and in 2018 also staged the national area final of the LGU Coronation Fours. The club is a triple former winner of the Welsh Golf Club of the Year award in the environment category. Facilities include a practice area, pro shop with PGA professional, bar, restaurant, changing rooms and function rooms. The club is accessed via Llantwit Road (Heol Creigiau) and is a short drive from Junction 34 of the M4.
