Golf Course Overview

Crane Valley Golf Club was opened in 1992 and laid out by the renowned design partnership of Donald Steel with Martin Ebert and Tom MacKenzie. The complex runs to 27 holes in total and features the 18-hole championship Valley Course, which plays to a par of 72 over around 6,412 yards, complemented by the shorter 9-hole Woodland Course at par 62 over 3,572 yards. The layouts meander through mature parkland in the Crane valley near Verwood, with streams and lakes coming into play and holes that reward thoughtful positioning rather than outright distance. The club hosted the Dorset County Golf Championship in 2024.

Facilities include a modern clubhouse with bar and restaurant, a covered Trackman driving range, practice green and a pro shop offering PGA tuition. The venue also hosts weddings, meetings and corporate days and is operated as part of the Hoburne Holiday group. Located at West Arm, Verwood, Crane Valley is easily reached from the A31 and is roughly 15 minutes from Ringwood and 25 minutes from Bournemouth.
