Golf Course Overview
Cookridge Hall opened in 1997 to a design by American architect Karl Litten, best known internationally for his work at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. The parkland course measures 6,788 yards to a par of 72 and is strongly American in style, with generous fairways, significant water hazards on the front nine and undulating greens that test putting at every hole. The short par-3 6th, where the tee shot must carry a substantial lake to a MacKenzie-style green, and the drivable par-4 18th, played over water in front of the clubhouse, are among the most memorable holes.
The club is built around a handsomely restored 18th-century coach house and offers a clubhouse with bar, restaurant and function facilities, a 22-bay floodlit driving range, pro shop, practice putting green and short-game area, plus on-site accommodation. Cookridge Hall caters strongly to visiting societies, corporate days and weekend groups, and has been a venue for Open Regional Qualifying. The club lies only 15 minutes from Leeds city centre within the famous North Leeds golf belt, easily reached via the A660 and A6120 ring road.
