Golf Course Overview
Concord Park Golf Club was founded in 1952 and is laid out within the public Concord Park in north Sheffield, off Shiregreen Lane. The course is an eighteen-hole municipal parkland of around 4,886 yards to a par of 67, with elevated tees, sloping fairways and well-protected greens that demand accuracy rather than length. Several holes play across the valley sides of the park, providing distant views of the Sheffield skyline, and the layout is regarded as a good test for higher handicappers and a useful practice venue for stronger players because of its short par fours and uphill par threes.
Operated as a public pay-and-play facility, the club has a clubhouse with bar and snacks, a small pro shop, changing rooms and limited buggy and equipment hire. Concord Park lies just inside the M1 corridor, around four miles north of Sheffield city centre with frequent buses from the city, and the course shares its parkland setting with athletics, tennis and other community sports facilities.
