Golf Course Overview

Sharnbrook Golf Club, formerly known as Colworth Golf Club, was constructed in the late 1970s within the picturesque parkland of Colworth House, on the Bedfordshire-Buckinghamshire-Northamptonshire-Cambridgeshire border. The course is owned by Unilever and beautifully maintained by their staff alongside the wider Colworth Science Park grounds. The nine-hole layout has a par of 68 and measures around 5,200 yards (par 68 played as 18). Although not the longest course in Bedfordshire, it demands intelligent and skilful play; cunningly designed dog-legs, well-protected greens and parts of the course dominated by spectacular 40-metre tall cedar trees give it real character. The course record is 67 against a standard scratch of 66.

Free of train and traffic noise thanks to its country estate setting, the course offers a peaceful and tranquil round. Internal competitions, inter-club matches, social golf and an active seniors' section feature on the calendar, with the club encouraging equality in golf and welcoming all standards. Membership offers excellent value compared with other clubs in the area, with no joining fees.
