Golf Course Overview

Cobtree Manor Park Golf Club, designed by Martin Hawtree and opened in 1984, occupies part of the historic Cobtree Manor estate left to the public by Sir Garrard Tyrwhitt-Drake — who once kept his private menagerie (the original Maidstone Zoo) on the same land. The 18-hole parkland course measures around 5,576 yards with a par of 69, featuring tree-lined fairways, USGA-specification greens and two demanding par-3s that ask players to carry water. Mild undulations and rolling parkland give the layout a varied character, and Kent's chalky subsoil keeps it playable in winter.

Operated by Mytime Active, the venue welcomes pay-and-play golfers, society groups and members, with a pro shop, equipment hire, large function suite for weddings and wakes, and a clubhouse with a decked area beside the 18th green. The course lies on the A229 Blue Bell Hill, around a mile north of Maidstone and a short drive from junction 6 of the M20 and the M2.
