Golf Course Overview
Coatbridge Golf Club is a members' club affiliated to the Lochview Family Golf Centre at Townhead, Coatbridge, where it plays its competitions and matches over the 18-hole municipal Lochview parkland course. Opened in 1997 and operated by North Lanarkshire Council's Active NL leisure trust, the course measures around 5,510 yards to a par of 69 and is set around two lochs with tree-lined fairways demanding accuracy off the tee. The standout hole is the 440-yard par-4 16th "Gartloch", widely regarded as the toughest hole on the course.
Facilities include 18 floodlit driving range bays, a state-of-the-art golf simulator, golf academy and a clubhouse café and bar. PGA professional John Kelly offers tuition for adults and juniors, including a Mini Tigers programme for younger players. The course adjoins Drumpellier Country Park and is reached via Townhead Road off the A89 in north Coatbridge.
