Golf Course Overview
Clandon Regis Golf Club was designed by David Williams, for many years consultant architect to the European Tour, and opened in June 1994 as a proprietary club. Situated at the foot of the Surrey Hills, this 18-hole parkland course plays to a par of 72 over approximately 6,464 yards. The course quickly attained championship status, hosting the PGA Southern Professional Championship finals in 1995 and 1996, and was chosen as the venue for the inaugural event of the MasterCard Tour in 1997. Fairways are moderately tight, with large undulating greens, water features and heavy rough punishing wayward shots. The club is also headquarters of the PGA South Region.
Facilities include a full-length driving range with practice bunker, putting green, chipping area and indoor practice nets. The clubhouse provides a friendly atmosphere with dining options and function rooms suitable for weddings and corporate events. The club welcomes visitors and societies. Access is via Epsom Road (A246) in West Clandon, just outside Guildford, a short drive from the A3 and Horsley rail station. The club is also the administrative home of Surrey Women's Golf.
