Golf Course Overview
Clandeboye Golf Club is a 36-hole inland venue laid out across 330 acres of mature woodland on the former Dufferin and Ava estate, designed by Baron von Limburger together with Ryder Cup pair Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss. The Dufferin Championship Course is the longer of the two layouts at around 6,740 yards, par 71, and is ranked among the leading inland courses in Ireland and inside Golf World's UK & Ireland top 100; the shorter Ava Course measures around 5,750 yards, par 70, and has been recognised as one of the most fun courses in the UK. The signature 524-yard par-five 'Tower Gap' on the Ava is regarded as one of the finest holes on the island.
The clubhouse offers locally sourced food and a full bar with views across the estate, plus a pro shop, driving range, two putting greens and a chipping green. The club hosts a busy programme of open competitions, society days and Golf Ireland events, and visitors are welcome at most times subject to advance booking and weekend restrictions on the Dufferin. Clandeboye is set in the rolling countryside above Conlig village, around 12 miles from Belfast and easily reached via the A2 Bangor road, with sea views across to the Scottish coast.
