 Golf Course Overview

Chipping Sodbury Golf Club's Beaufort Course opened in 1971 to a design by Fred Hawtree and remains one of the longest and most testing parkland layouts in the region, measuring around 6,994 yards to a par of 72. Fairways cross and re-cross a meandering brook that comes into play on a number of holes, and strategic bunkering, mature trees and subtle greens demand accurate driving and careful course management. The course has matured over more than 50 years into a genuine championship test, with a slope rating of 130 and a course rating of 74.4 giving a clear sense of the challenge from the back tees.

The club offers a driving range, putting and chipping greens, a practice bunker, a pro shop, professional tuition, buggy and trolley hire and a welcoming clubhouse with food service and function space. Visitors are welcome midweek and with restricted tee availability on weekend afternoons, and the club hosts society days, corporate events and county fixtures. Located on Trinity Lane, about 12 miles north of Bristol at the foot of the Cotswolds in South Gloucestershire, the club is easily reached from junction 18 of the M4 and junction 14 of the M5.
