Golf Course Overview

China Fleet Country Club, opened in 1991, is a parkland course designed by the celebrated architect Dr Martin Hawtree and set across 180 acres bordered by the River Tamar and Kingsmill Creek. The 18-hole layout measures 6,551 yards to a par of 72 from the men's tees and follows a classic configuration of ten par fours, four par fives and four par threes. The course is defined by tree-lined fairways, strategic water hazards and three holes where out of bounds comes into play, while the 170-yard par-three 5th with panoramic views across the Tamar is generally regarded as the signature hole; the 14th, with a 140-yard carry over water from the championship tee, provides another memorable test.

As a 4-star country club the resort offers extensive facilities including a 22-bay Toptracer-equipped floodlit driving range, chipping green, putting green, short-game area, pro shop with club, trolley and buggy hire, along with self-catering apartment-style accommodation, a health club with swimming pool, aqua spa, gym and racquet sports, plus the Brasserie, Lounge Bar and Cabin café. Visitors, society days and corporate bookings are all welcomed. The club sits at the gateway to Cornwall at Saltash, just a 15-minute drive from Plymouth city centre and easily reached via the A38 just over the Tamar Bridge.
