Golf Course Overview

Chesterton Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course set in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, designed by Len Vanes and opened in 1993. Originally built as a nine-hole layout with a further nine added shortly afterwards, the course measures around 6,122 yards to a par of 71 with five par 3s, nine par 4s and four par 5s. The terrain ranges from flatter parkland holes on part of the front nine to a more undulating, hilly back nine on the older section of the course. The opening par 3 played across a valley to a two-tier green and the picturesque par-3 17th, framed by pines and bunkers, are among the standout holes.

The pay-and-play club welcomes golfers of all abilities without restriction on age or experience and operates a newly built clubhouse and atrium suitable for societies and larger group events. There is a well-stocked pro shop, on-site catering and the venue regularly hosts ladies' days, society outings and open competitions. Conveniently located just off the B4176 between Dudley and Telford, it lies roughly seven miles from junction 3 of the M54 and around eleven miles from both Wolverhampton and Telford town centres.
