Golf Course Overview
The Chase Golf & Country Club sits deep in the Staffordshire countryside around six miles from Stafford, with an 18-hole course laid out by Weller Designs on a base of free-draining sand and gravel. The par-72 layout measures 6,738 yards from the back tees and offers far-reaching views across the Wrekin and Clee Hills. The routing blends tricky par 3s with testing par 5s, demanding use of every club in the bag, while well-placed hazards and areas of wild rough punish wayward tee shots. Superb natural drainage means the course remains playable year-round.
The family-owned club, run by the Simmons family since 2009, has grown into a full leisure destination with a 17-room boutique hotel, Woodlands Restaurant, TrackMan driving range currently undergoing redevelopment, indoor teaching studio, pro shop, Chase Health Club gym, Wellness Centre and sauna/steam/ice therapy suite. It is a popular wedding and corporate venue and has hosted the Rotary charity golf day for more than 15 years. The club lies on Pottal Pool Road near Penkridge, just off the A449 and close to M6 Junction 13 and the M6 Toll (Exit T8).
