Golf Course Overview
Charleton Golf Club was designed by John Salvesen and opened in 1994 by former US President George H. W. Bush, set within the historic Charleton Estate near Colinsburgh on the edge of the East Neuk of Fife. The 18-hole parkland course measures around 6,371 yards from the white tees and plays to a par of 72, with large heavily contoured greens, generous tree-lined fairways and several mature specimens that frame the layout. The signature par-4 17th asks for a second shot played over a wall onto a narrow green, while the par-5 4th and the testing par-4 11th add further variety.
Visitors are welcome seven days a week, and the wider estate also offers a 9-hole pitch-and-putt course, a driving range and self-catering eco-lodges with sea views just minutes from the course. The clubhouse provides a pro shop, bar and dining alongside changing rooms and locker facilities, with the venue popular for societies, groups and weddings. The course is signposted from the A917 just before Colinsburgh, easily reached from Anstruther, Elie and St Andrews.
