Golf Course Overview
Castlereagh Hills Golf Course opened in 1983 to a layout by David Jones and is operated by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council as one of Northern Ireland's leading municipal venues. The 18-hole parkland course measures approximately 5,560 yards with a par of 69 and rises through rolling countryside to deliver panoramic views over Strangford Lough and the County Down coast. Recent investment has reshaped two holes, and the layout offers a fair test for all abilities with quick greens and a number of holes that play longer than the card suggests.
Facilities include a modern clubhouse with a public restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, a conference suite available for hire, free parking and a busy programme of group lessons, society days and junior coaching. The course regularly hosts Golf Ireland Ulster Branch inter-club tournaments, including under-18 boys' and under-19 girls' events. Castlereagh Hills sits on Upper Braniel Road around four miles from Belfast city centre and is easily reached from the Ballygowan and Gilnahirk roads.
