Golf Course Overview
Castle Hume Golf Club opened in 1991 within the grounds of the old Ely estate on the edge of Castle Hume Lough and Lower Lough Erne. Designed by John Carroll (Bobby Browne also credited), the championship 18-hole parkland course measures around 6,490 yards with a par of 70 to 72 and is widely regarded as one of the most scenic parkland tests in the Fermanagh Lakelands. Built on free-draining limestone, the course features more than 7,000 trees, over 30 bunkers, generous rolling fairways, water hazards and famously curvaceous greens that are highly manicured to championship standards. Now part of the five-star Lough Erne Resort alongside the Faldo Course, Castle Hume hosts both members and visiting golfers throughout the year.
Resort facilities include a driving range, practice area, putting green, golf academy, pro shop, locker rooms and a clubhouse restaurant with views over the loughs. Equipment hire (including buggies) is available, and visitors are welcome every day. The course is approximately three-and-a-half miles from Enniskillen on the main A46 Belleek Road, set in the heart of the Fermanagh Lakelands and a short drive from many of the area's premier visitor attractions.
