Golf Course Overview
Castell Heights Golf Club (also known as Castle Heights) was first played in 1988, originally as part of the larger Mountain Lakes complex laid out to challenging championship standards. Today the club operates a single nine-hole pay-and-play course measuring approximately 2,751 yards to a par of 35, with two par-3s, six par-4s and one par-5. The course sits on top of Caerphilly Mountain in mature woodland not far from Castell Coch, with bunkers, undulating fairways and tree-lined holes calling for thoughtful course management.
The site enjoys panoramic views from the summit of Caerphilly Mountain across to the Bristol Channel and the surrounding valleys. Facilities include a clubhouse, pro shop, practice driving cages and putting green, with green fees available daily for both adults and juniors. The course is around five minutes from junction 32 of the M4 where it meets the A470, just north of Cardiff.
