Golf Course Overview
Castle Hawk Golf Club sits on Chadwick Lane in Castleton, just south of Rochdale, and dates back to 1961. The venue is built around an eighteen-hole short course of just over 3,000 yards (par 54) and a separate shorter parkland nine, and styles itself as the home of "affordable golf" for newcomers, families and casual players as well as more committed golfers. The undulating ground and a mix of par-3 and short par-4 holes provide a useful, walkable test that places a premium on accuracy from tee to green rather than raw length.
Facilities include a fifteen-bay floodlit driving range with four grass bays, a putting green and short-game practice area, a pro shop, a teaching academy and a clubhouse with bar and food service. The club hosts pay-and-play visitors all year round as well as offering memberships and society bookings, and has been recognised in industry awards for its accessibility-focused approach. The site is a few minutes from junction 20 of the M62 and is well signposted from Castleton, with easy parking on arrival.
