Golf Course Overview
Carus Green Golf Club opened in 1993 on the outskirts of Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, and has evolved into one of the North's most popular golfing destinations. The 18-hole parkland course plays to around 6,080 yards with a par of 70, featuring a course rating of 70.1 and slope of 127. Enhanced tees, remodelled greens and beautiful water features — including play along the winding River Kent — create a layout that rewards accuracy over raw distance, with a signature closing stretch and standout 18th.
The club offers a Toptracer driving range, chipping green, practice bunker and indoor golf simulator, along with a full pro shop, PGA coaching and custom fitting. The contemporary clubhouse has a bar and restaurant with terraces overlooking the 18th green, plus a large function room, changing facilities, and on-site accommodation in boutique lodge rooms, self-catering town houses and a golf apartment. Carus Green has hosted northern PGA events and welcomes visitors throughout the week; it is easily reached from Kendal via Burneside Road with good access from the M6.
