Golf Course Overview
Carradale Golf Club was founded in 1906 on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula, around 15 miles north of Campbeltown in the village of Carradale. The course is a characterful 9-hole heathland-parkland layout measuring approximately 4,576 yards over a full round of 18 to a par of 65, with rolling terrain, tiny hard-to-hit greens and spectacular views over Kilbrannan Sound to Arran from the very first tee, with the panorama from the ninth green widely thought to be amongst the finest on any short course in Scotland. The course has been described as one of the most sporting nine-hole layouts anywhere in the country.
The clubhouse offers disabled access, toilets and showering facilities, with tea, coffee and soft drinks available on an honesty basis from a small kitchen, and green fees similarly paid via an honesty letterbox in the lounge. A small selection of clubs and trolleys can be hired from the greenkeeper, and the course is open year-round including during the Christmas and New Year period. The course is located behind the Carradale Hotel in the centre of the village.
