Golf Course Overview
Campsie Golf Club was founded in 1897 and sits at the foot of the Campsie Fells, climbing the slopes above the village of Lennoxtown. The 18-hole parkland course measures around 5,509 yards to a par of 70, with the opening holes climbing steeply uphill before the layout settles among undulating moorland-edged ground; the closing holes are noted for their character, particularly the par-3 17th. Small, sloping greens, blind shots and frequent hanging lies make the course a stiffer test than the scorecard might suggest, and the panoramic views over Glasgow and beyond are a feature throughout.
The club has a modern clubhouse offering food and drink, a pro shop and practice facilities, and welcomes visiting parties and non-members; advance booking is recommended. Lennoxtown is reached via the A891 from Kirkintilloch or the B822 from Fintry, with the course on Crow Road on the climb out of the village.
