Golf Course Overview
Cally Palace Hotel and Golf Course is set within over 150 acres of parkland on the outskirts of the village of Gatehouse of Fleet on the Solway coast in Dumfries and Galloway. The 18-hole parkland course was designed by golf architect Tom Macaulay and opened in 1994, and is owned and run by the four-star Cally Palace Hotel, an 18th-century country mansion converted into a 56-bedroom resort. The course offers wonderful views of Cardoness Castle, Rutherford's Monument and the Fleet Estuary as it winds through landscaped grounds, with golf buggies, a practice area and putting green for visitors.
The course is closed during January and February each year, but otherwise welcomes both hotel guests as part of golf-stay packages and outside visitors, with twilight rates from 4pm. Hotel facilities include an indoor swimming pool, leisure complex, AA Rosette restaurant and elegant bow lounge. The resort sits just off the A75, around fifty minutes' drive west of Dumfries.
