 Golf Course Overview

Caddington Golf Club near Luton in Bedfordshire was a well-regarded 27-hole facility set in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, comprising an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole academy course, both redesigned by Gaunt Golf Design and built on land that had previously served as an inert landfill site. The club, which began life in 1985 as the Griffin Golf Club for Vauxhall Motors employees, closed on 12 October 2024 after owners McGee Construction sold the 140-acre site to a local developer called Storm Golf, who had obtained planning permission for significant engineering works on the site. The exact nature of the redevelopment remains to be determined, though construction was scheduled to commence shortly after closure.

Closed 2024.
