Golf Course Overview
Bush Hill Park Golf Club was founded in March 1895 and occupies a peaceful stretch of parkland on the edge of Enfield Town. The original course was designed by six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon, with a significant redesign carried out in 1925 by James Braid — giving the club an unusually distinguished architectural pedigree. Set across just under 100 acres, the par-70 layout measures around 5,776 yards and rewards positional play rather than length, with a particularly strong set of short holes and interesting green complexes designed in part by long-serving club professional George Low.
The clubhouse is housed in the locally listed Old Park Mansion House, which became the home of the club in 1922 and has since been sensitively renovated to offer bar, dining and function facilities. There are over 1,000 playing and social members, a Golf Foundation-accredited academy programme and an active social calendar. Recent accolades include England Golf Club of the Year 2021, multiple Club Mirror awards and GEO Certification for sustainability in 2025. The club is easily reached from Enfield Town, with the M25 a short drive away.
