Golf Course Overview

Burnley Golf Club, known as Glen View, is a moorland course of considerable character, established in 1905 and set within 135 acres of Lancashire countryside on the edge of the Pennine hills. The 18-hole layout was redesigned by the great James Braid in 1929 and measures 5,925 yards at a par of 69. The exposed moorland setting means the wind plays a major role in proceedings, making accurate club selection as important as ball-striking. Panoramic views of Burnley and the surrounding landscape are a constant backdrop to a round here.

The course is conveniently located near the M65 and offers excellent facilities including a professional shop and welcoming clubhouse with outstanding views — the kind that earned descriptions of "omg views" from visitors. Open competitions are held regularly and the club hosts weddings and functions in its hillside clubhouse setting.
