Golf Course Overview
Burnham-on-Crouch Golf Club was founded in 1923 at Creeksea and has grown from a nine-hole layout into an 18-hole course spread across 120 acres overlooking the Crouch estuary. The parkland course plays around 6,041 yards to a par of 70, with a slope of 131 and course rating of 70.2. Tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and the estuary-side setting give some holes a links feel, and the course's drainage keeps it playable throughout the year.
The clubhouse provides a bar and restaurant serving members and visitors, and the club runs active men's, ladies', senior and cadet sections with more than 500 members. Visitors are welcome Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and the club hosts regular society days and Essex Golf competitions including the Youth Shield Handicap League. Burnham-on-Crouch is on Ferry Road west of the town itself, reached via the B1010 from the A12 and A130.
