Golf Course Overview

Burgham Park Golf Club opened in 1994 and was designed by former Ryder Cup player Mark James together with Andrew Mair. Set in the rolling countryside near Felton, it is a championship parkland course extending to around 6,804 yards from the back tees with a par of 72, featuring tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and a couple of testing water hazards. Now more than 25 years into its life, the layout has matured significantly and is regarded as one of the finest inland tests in the region, used as a venue for the NUGC Senior Opens.

The club operates a calendar of Gents', Ladies', Seniors' and Mixed Opens throughout the season, and welcomes societies and visitors via online booking. Facilities include a clubhouse with bar and restaurant, pro shop and buggies, and accommodation packages can be arranged locally. Burgham Park sits roughly a mile off the A1 between Morpeth and Alnwick, around 20 minutes north of Newcastle, making it a convenient base for exploring golf along the Northumberland coast.
