Golf Course Overview
Broomieknowe Golf Club lies approximately six miles south-east of Edinburgh in the Midlothian town of Bonnyrigg, and has been welcoming golfers since its foundation in 1906. The mature 18-hole parkland course is laid out on a James Braid design and plays to around 6,150 yards with a standard scratch of 70. The layout makes clever use of undulating terrain, with tree-lined fairways, subtle doglegs and well-defended greens that reward accurate iron play. Course conditioning is consistently praised, and the course offers pleasant views across the rolling hills of Midlothian.
A new clubhouse provides a welcoming space for golfers with a bar, kitchen and lounge serving meals, snacks and speciality coffees, and can be hired for functions. Facilities include changing rooms, a pro shop, golf tuition, buggy and trolley hire and a short practice area. The club runs an active competition programme for members and welcomes visitors, societies and corporate outings. Bonnyrigg is easily reached from Edinburgh via the A7 or the Edinburgh City Bypass, and the course sits within a short walk of the town centre.
