Golf Course Overview
Brighouse Bay Golf Club, opened in 2000, is set in 1,200 acres above the Solway coastline at Borgue, six miles south-west of Kirkcudbright. The 18-hole championship course measures around 6,636 yards to a par of 73 from the white tees, making the most of dramatic clifftop terrain with sea views stretching across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man. The course's standout hole is the 160-yard par-3 8th, which plays over a deep ravine plunging towards the sea, while undulating natural contours and varying tees from four sets ensure a fresh challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Facilities include a six-bay covered driving range, a short-game practice area, a 9-hole par-3 layout and a resident professional, alongside an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, bar and pony trekking at the wider Brighouse Bay Holiday Park. Luxury lodge accommodation is available next to the course. The site is reached via the B727 from Kirkcudbright, around 30 miles south-west of Dumfries.
