Golf Course Overview
Briggens Park Golf Club in Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire, was a nine-hole parkland course set within the grounds of the 18th-century Grade II listed Briggens House Hotel, with fairways winding amongst ancient trees and offering an undulating, challenging layout popular with hotel guests and local members. The club, which had operated under various names since 1988, closed permanently on 23 August 2019 due to declining viability, with the closure announced via the club's Facebook page. The historic Briggens House itself continues to operate as a country house hotel, with the former golf course land reverting to the hotel's private estate grounds.
