Golf Course Overview
Bridgnorth Golf Club was founded in 1889, making it one of the oldest clubs in Shropshire. The 18-hole parkland course measures around 6,552 yards with a par of 73 and was substantially remodelled in 1998 by course architect Jonathan Tucker. The opening holes climb and fall away from the clubhouse before the layout settles down to play across gentler ground alongside the River Severn, which comes into play on several holes. Mature trees, well-placed bunkers and undulating greens give the course its character, with the closing holes returning to the higher ground near the clubhouse.
The club welcomes visitors and societies throughout the week, with a well-regarded clubhouse bar and catering. It regularly hosts Shropshire and Herefordshire Union matches, county ladies' events and qualifying rounds, and was the site of a recent PING 4BBB qualifier. The course sits on Stanley Lane a short distance north of Bridgnorth town centre, with easy access from the A458 and A442 and onward links to Telford and the M54.
