Golf Course Overview

Brett Vale Golf Club was laid out in the rolling Brett Valley at Raydon and opened for play in the early 1990s. The 18-hole parkland layout measures around 5,877 yards to a par of 70, and although not a long course it rewards accuracy over power, with tight fairways, strategic lakes, mature trees and several sharp dog-legs shaping play. The undulating terrain carries players out through the countryside to the distant 8th before turning for home, and the short par-fours and testing par-threes (notably the 183-yard 4th) mean shot selection matters more than distance off the tee.

The timber-framed clubhouse offers a bar, restaurant and function facilities on the upper floor, along with a well-stocked pro shop and buggy hire. Visitors, societies and party bookings are welcomed and the club runs regular competitions and social events throughout the year. Brett Vale sits in the heart of Constable Country just off the A12 at Raydon, making it easy to reach from both Ipswich and Colchester.
