Golf Course Overview
Brent Valley Golf Club was established in 1909 by local philanthropist Albert Toley, originally as the nine-hole Springfield Park Golf Club before expanding to eighteen holes under a layout designed by five-time Open Champion J.H. Taylor. The present course was remodelled in 1966 after Ealing Council acquired the land, and measures around 5,446 to 5,550 yards to a par of 67. It is a traditional parkland layout over clay soil, making strategic use of the natural Brent Valley terrain with water hazards, ditches and well-placed bunkers to challenge players of all handicaps.
Although the course is now publicly owned and operated on behalf of Ealing Council by Everyone Active, the members' club retains its own strong identity and runs a full fixtures programme of weekly competitions, club knockouts and inter-club matches. Facilities include a clubhouse, practice area, putting green, chipping area and a fitness centre. The club was named Middlesex Golf Club of the Year in 2022. It is located a five-minute walk from Hanwell railway station in West London, adjacent to Brent Valley and Brent Lodge parks.
