Golf Course Overview
Brayton Park Golf Club is a 9-hole parkland course set on the historic Brayton Park Estate at Aspatria in west Cumbria, with golf having been played here since 1939. The course measures around 2,353 yards over 9 holes (par 32) and offers stunning views of the Lake District fells. Despite its modest length, the cleverly renovated layout has earned a strong reputation among professionals for accuracy and concentration — with the 13th's large undulating green protected by two sloping sand traps and the mammoth par-5 15th measuring some 558 yards. The course has previously hosted regional Open Championship qualifying rounds.
The course operates on a "pay-and-play" basis with a clubhouse offering bar and restaurant facilities. Visitors are welcome every day, all year round. The on-site Lakeside Inn (a separate venue at Mealsgate, CA5 3TD) and the wider Brayton Park area also offer holiday lodges. Brayton Park is located around 1 mile north of Aspatria and 10 miles north of Cockermouth, within easy reach of the West Cumbrian coast and Lake District National Park.
