Golf Course Overview
Brampton Heath Golf Centre opened in 1995 as a family-owned venue on undulating heathland just north of Northampton town centre. The 18-hole main course measures around 6,662 yards from the white tees, with a par of 72, and is known for its free-draining heathland turf, which keeps the course playable all year round. The layout offers a good mix of long and short holes, presenting a fair challenge for golfers of all standards, with open views across the Northampton skyline from several elevated holes.
In addition to the championship layout, the venue features a 9-hole short course ideal for beginners, families and footgolf, plus an 18-bay floodlit driving range and a short-game practice area. The County squad regularly uses the facilities for coaching and practice. Visitors and societies are welcome seven days a week, with golf society bookings catered for from groups of 12 upwards. A refurbished clubhouse serves home-cooked meals and drinks. The centre sits on Sandy Lane in Church Brampton, around two miles from Northampton town centre and within easy reach of the A5199.

Golf Empire Verdict
Brampton Heath Golf Centre
"Located on sandy ground, just to the west of Northampton, Brampton Heath is a semi-heathland course that belies its age of less than two decades."
Opened in May 1995 it still shows signs of its youth but the many trees and gorse bushes that were planted to complement the existing trees are in the process of maturing. It could perhaps be argued that many of the trees are not really required but the dabs of course certainly add elements of strategy.
