Golf Course Overview
Bramley Golf Club was established in 1913, with its 18-hole parkland course remodelled by five-time Open Champion James Braid in 1935. The par-69 course (par 72 for women) measures approximately 5,930 yards and is set within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The course features carefully sited bunkers, water hazards and sloping greens, with the closing stretch regarded as among the toughest finishing holes in Surrey. The mix of two par fives and five par threes sets this layout apart from many of its contemporaries.
Members and visitors benefit from a covered practice range and short game area with three practice bunkers, a large putting and chipping green, and a 50-yard pitching area. The modern clubhouse has newly refurbished changing rooms and hosts weddings, society days and events. Bramley has received the Surrey Hills Trademark award in recognition of its quality. The club lies two miles south of Guildford on the A281, with entry via Links Road (opposite Gosden House School).
