Golf Course Overview
Brackenwood Golf Club in Bebington on the Wirral was an 18-hole parkland course of 6,285 yards (par 70) that had served the local community since 1935, well known for its mature trees and rolling fairways. It was closed by Wirral Council in April 2022 amid a £27 million budget crisis, with members continuing to maintain the course on a voluntary basis afterwards. In 2023 councillors voted to support a community group takeover, with Link Golf UK proposed as operator, but the site's long-term status remained unresolved into late 2025 and the course has not formally reopened.
Closed 2022.
