Golf Course Overview
Boxmoor Golf Club on Sheethanger Common at Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, was a nine-hole parkland course (played as 18) established in 1890 on land belonging to Boxmoor Trust, with elevated greens, chalk subsoil, and a long heritage as one of the county's oldest courses. It closed on 31 July 2011 due to financial difficulties, and the land has reverted to open common-land grazing and public access as part of Sheethanger Common.
