 Golf Course Overview

Bowood Park Golf Club, opened in 1992, was designed by the renowned course architect Dave Thomas and laid out across land that once formed part of a 13th-century deer park belonging to the Black Prince, Edward, Duke of Cornwall. The 18-hole parkland course measures 6,692 yards to a par of 72 and winds through approximately 230 acres of rolling hills, wooded valleys, streams and mature trees. The layout features USGA-specification greens for year-round playability, with strategic water hazards and bunkers throughout, while the back nine is widely regarded as the more testing stretch with several memorable holes including the much-praised 12th.

The club sits alongside a hotel offering en-suite accommodation with views over the course and Cornish countryside, and facilities include a restaurant and bar with terrace, nine-bay floodlit driving range, putting green and a well-stocked pro shop with buggy and trolley hire. Bowood Park has previously hosted European Challenge Tour Championship qualifying and welcomes visitors, societies and hospitality days. It is located near Camelford in north Cornwall, close to Tintagel, Port Isaac and the National Trust coastline, with Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project within easy reach.
