Golf Course Overview

Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort opened its 18-hole PGA Championship course in 1992, designed by Dave Thomas. Set within the historic Bowood Estate — over 100 acres of 'Capability' Brown-designed parkland, with formal gardens, woodland gardens and the family seat of the Marquess of Lansdowne nearby — the course is widely rated among the best in Wiltshire. The layout winds through picturesque valleys, streams and mature woodland, presenting an enjoyable challenge for golfers of every level.

The four-star hotel offers 43 contemporary bedrooms and suites, the two AA Rosette Shelburne Restaurant, the Clubhouse Bar with terrace dining, an award-winning spa with infinity pool, rock sauna and crystal steam room, and full conference, event and wedding facilities. Golfers also enjoy a PGA academy course, driving range, putting greens and pro shop. The resort sits just off the A4 between Calne and Chippenham at Derry Hill, signposted from junction 17 of the M4 and roughly 18 miles east of Bath.
