Golf Course Overview
Boothferry Golf Club is an established 18-hole meadowland course designed by the celebrated golf architect Donald Steel and located in the tranquil Vale of York at Spaldington Lane, three miles north of Howden. The course measures 6,684 yards from the white tees with a par of 73, making it one of the more enjoyable meadowland tests in Yorkshire. Distinctive natural dykes come into play on a number of holes, while the par-3 fifth — played over water — and the so-called 'spectacle' bunkers protecting the seventh provide notable strategic interest.
The clubhouse offers full bar, dining and meeting facilities, while the practice ground includes a putting green, chipping green and practice bunker. The pro shop, club hire, motorised carts and PGA tuition are all on site. Visitors and societies are welcomed by prior arrangement. Boothferry is easily reached from junction 36 of the M62 via the B1228 or two miles west off the A614 from Holme-on-Spalding-Moor.
