Golf Course Overview
Opened on 29 September 1904 by Mrs Carnegie of Skibo, Bonar Bridge-Ardgay is a 9-hole heath and moorland course measuring 5,362 yards with a par of 68. The current layout dates largely from 1994, completed in 1998, and has been described by Peter Alliss as "a mini Gleneagles". The tree-lined fairways demand accurate driving while the small greens test even good putters, with the par-3 third signature hole playing from an elevated tee down towards Loch Migdale.
The club has a practice area with nets, bunker and putting green, along with limited golf club and buggy hire that should be pre-booked. A member of Golf Highland, Bonar Bridge-Ardgay is located off Migdale Road at the Market Stance, around 45 to 50 minutes north of Inverness via the Struie road, and close to Dornoch and Tain for golf tours.
