Golf Course Overview
Bon Accord Golf Club was formed at a meeting on 7 June 1872 by twelve men and is recognised as the second oldest golf club in Aberdeen. The club moved to its current location on Golf Road in the early 20th century, with an opening ceremony held on 10 April 1901, and is situated immediately next to Pittodrie Stadium, the home ground of Aberdeen Football Club. Members play their golf over the municipal Kings Links course, a classic east-coast links of around 6,270 yards, par 71 and SSS 69, where high winds, big dunes, fast greens and dense gorse provide a stern challenge to all standards of golfer.
The club operates a member-owned clubhouse on Golf Road with a friendly bar that serves as the social heart of the club, and runs an active competition calendar through the playing season. Visitors are welcome to the clubhouse, with bar service Monday to Sunday and food available on most days. The club is in central Aberdeen, easily reached from the city centre and the A90, with parking available at Pittodrie nearby.

Golf Empire Verdict
Bon Accord
"Right on the edge of the City of Aberdeen lays the charming Kings Links golf course which is owned by Aberdeen City Council and also the playing arena for three golf clubs; The Northern, Caledonian and Bon Accord."
Teeing off under the shadow of Pittodrie Stadium, home to Aberdeen Football Club, you play straight towards the North Sea, albeit hidden out of sight, before skirting along the foot of a dune ridge, running adjacent to the beach, across some delightfully robust linksland.
